Below, you will find specific details regarding insurance coverage in Hawai‘i and private payment options in California.
Standard Rates (All States of Practice):
Individual Psychotherapy Session (90837, 53+ minutes): $250
Initial Clinical Consultation & Intake Evaluation (90791): $275 (First session only)

Hawai‘i Practice
I am an in-network provider with HMSA (PPO).
Prior to our initial evaluation, my secure billing system via Sessions Health will verify your outpatient mental health benefits to determine your exact copay, coinsurance, or deductible responsibility.
Please have your physical insurance card available to securely upload during your onboarding portal setup.
*Please note that we cannot bypass insurance to do private payment if you hold an active HMSA plan.
Out-of-Network & Private Pay (Non-HMSA)
For all other health insurance plans (such as mainland PPOs, Tricare, or federal BCBS plans), I operate as an Out-of-Network provider. You have two options to utilize your out-of-network benefits:
• Option 1: Automated Reimbursement via Mentaya
I partner with Mentaya to automatically file out-of-network claims on your behalf. You pay the standard fee at the time of our session, and Mentaya handles all the paperwork, tracks your claims, and fights denials so your insurance company can reimburse you directly. Mentaya charges clients a transparent 5% processing fee per claim ($12.50, in addition to session rate) for this service. I receive no financial incentive or benefits from this fee.
• Option 2: Manual "DIY" Superbills
If you prefer to superbill claims to your insurance company yourself to avoid Mentaya’s 5% fee, please let me know. I will gladly provide you with a standard monthly clinical superbill through my secure client portal at no extra cost.
California Practice
Out-of-Network & Private Pay
For individuals residing in California, my practice operates under an out-of-network, private pay model .
Payment is securely processed via credit card at the conclusion of each virtual meeting.
You have two options to utilize your out-of-network benefits:
